RBT Child Interventionist – Part Time, Houston
Overview
You will teach essential skills to young children affected by autism through play-based activities in their natural environment. You will work with families in homes, schools, and centers, using applied behavior analysis (ABA) under RBT certification. You will join a team of 800+ behavior technicians supported by a network of BCBAs, with opportunities for paid training and mentorship. This role offers part-time hours with drive-time pay and a path toward BCBA certification.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design play-based learning activities that teach communication, sharing, and waiting skills.
- 2Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
- 3Collect data on each client's progress to adjust teaching strategies in real time.
- 4Coach parents and caregivers to reinforce skills between sessions.
- 5Maintain a safe and engaging therapeutic environment in homes, schools, and centers.
- 6Collaborate with a team of behavior technicians and analysts to ensure consistency.
- 7Deliver sessions during consistent weekday availability, either 8AM-4PM or 3PM-7PM.
- 8Transport yourself and materials to client locations using your own vehicle.
Requirements8
- 1RBT certification (current or willing to obtain).
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel.
- 4Web-enabled device (laptop or tablet) for data collection and communication.
- 5At least 3 weekdays with consistent availability.
- 6Positive attitude and strong people skills when interacting with families.
- 7Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and kneel, squat, sit, or stand for extended periods.
- 8Passion for working with children affected by autism.
