Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist - Houston, TX
Overview
As a Behavior Technician at The Lily Center, you will deliver 1:1 and group ABA therapy to children with Autism in a clinic and community settings. You will run skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols, collect data, and support parent training under BCBA supervision. What You'll Do9
- 1Implement ABA skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols in 1:1 and group sessions.
- 2Run and record data on client behavior, including toilet training protocols, using electronic data collection.
- 3Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as directed by the BCBA.
- 4Prepare materials and set up therapy environments for each session.
- 5Assist BCBAs and Lead Technicians with skill and behavior assessments.
- 6Support parent training sessions in alignment with treatment plans.
- 7Collaborate with the treatment team, including therapists, interns, and supervisors.
- 8Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- 9Assume Lead Technician duties during their absence.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, ABA, Speech and Hearing, or related field.
- 2RBT certification within 30 days of hire; 40-hour RBT training completed.
- 3Experience working with children 0-16 in a 1:1 or classroom setting.
- 4Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically engage with clients.
- 6Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- 7Commitment to maintain professional appearance and short nails.
- 8Availability for full-time schedule (35-42 hours/week, Mon-Fri 7:45am-5pm).
Salary Insight
