Overview
The Radiology Aide at Newton-Wellesley Hospital supports radiology technologists and radiologists with tasks like preparing patients for imaging procedures and maintaining equipment. This role involves working Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8a-4:30p. It is a day shift position located at 2014 Washington Street in Boston Massachusetts.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures while explaining the imaging process
- 2Arrange radiology equipment including X-ray machines CT scanners MRI devices and ultrasound machines
- 3Position patients correctly on imaging tables or in appropriate standing positions for clear images
- 4Assist technologists with image processing tasks such as labeling and organizing digital images in PACS
- 5Transport patients safely within the radiology department
- 6Track supplies like contrast agents gowns and other necessary items
- 7Maintain accurate patient procedure records for documentation and billing
- 8Own and manage daily radiology workflow tasks
- 9Drive improvements in imaging efficiency through hands-on assistance
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent accepted
- 20-1 year hospital managed care experience preferred
- 3Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology equipment procedures
- 4Strong communication skills for patient interaction
- 5Ability to lift 35lbs+ with assisted device
- 6Constant feeling of foot use and vision constant
