Quality Manager, Manufacturing & Quality Assurance Leadership
Overview
The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality engineers and technicians at the Goodyear AZ manufacturing site, driving quality improvements for new product development and current production at scale. You will build a culture of quality, mentor staff across fabrication, assembly, calibration, metrology and customer assurance labs, and align department goals with corporate strategy. This role blends advanced quality planning, data-driven decision making, and cross functional collaboration to deliver exceptional products.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead and develop site Quality Assurance teams across Fabrication, Assembly, Calibration, Metrology and Customer Assurance Labs
- 2Set site quality goals, objectives and budgets aligned with Corporate Strategy
- 3Lead advanced product quality planning including FMEA, control plans and capability studies
- 4Cultivate a culture of quality through problem solving and continuous improvement
- 5Identify issues, perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures using statistical tools
- 6Measure, analyze and communicate Quality Metrics to enable data based decisions
- 7Develop, implement and maintain internal and external audit systems and qualification processes
- 8Drive cross functional collaboration to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost
- 9Mentor and coach Quality team members to grow expertise and leadership
- 10Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF and AS quality management standards
Requirements10
- 115+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering with 10+ years in leadership
- 2Experience with measurement practices and GD&T
- 3Familiarity with APQP tools (PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, capability studies) and control plans
- 4Strong analytical and problem solving skills with Lean and Six Sigma methods
- 5Experience applying advanced statistical methods in manufacturing
- 6ASQ or equivalent certification (CMQ/OE, CSSBB, CQE)
- 7Education: Bachelor's or higher in Engineering or related field
- 8Understanding of ISO, IATF, AS quality management standards and internal auditing experience
- 9SolidWorks and gauge/fixture design knowledge preferred
- 10Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and manage priorities
