Quality Inspector, Aerospace Hardware & QA Systems
Overview
Quality inspection expert will own receiving, in-process, and final verification for aerospace hardware at scale. Work within our established QMS to ensure products meet blueprint and contract requirements. Collaborate with suppliers, production, and quality teams to drive non-conformance remediation and traceability. This role stands out by combining precision inspection with hands-on hardness and leak testing in a high-stakes environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and document inspection results to support non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
- 2Inspect products against blueprints and work orders ensuring compliance with QMS requirements.
- 3Verify supplier certifications meet TVT purchase order requirements and maintain traceability.
- 4Perform surface plate inspection, layout setups, and visual examinations of received, in-process, and end items.
- 5Conduct hardness, micro-hardness, and helium leak testing as part of final verification.
- 6Read and interpret furnace digital charts to validate process integrity.
- 7Initiate and track non-conformance reports and coordinate disposition with suppliers and production.
- 8Maintain organized records and documentation of inspection activities and results.
- 9Keep work area clean, safe, and compliant with confidentiality policies.
- 10Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Able to lift 30 lbs and meet eyesight and color discernment requirements as specified
- 3Two (2) years of experience in inspection of manufactured hardware (preferred)
- 4Experience with blueprints, engineering drawings, and inspection hand tools
- 5Familiarity with hardness testing inspection
- 6Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for reporting and data tracking
- 7Read, write, and speak English proficiently
- 8Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA in a normal inspection environment
- 9Strong team orientation with ability to work independently under deadlines
- 10Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with ITAR regulations
