What You'll Do8

  • 1Inspect machined parts with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators to verify GD&T and drawing compliance.
  • 2Drive first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to stop defects before they escape.
  • 3Document inspection results with FAI reports, QC releases, and nonconformance records in ERP systems.
  • 4Partner with machinists to resolve dimensional issues and reduce scrap in real-time.
  • 5Support MRB dispositions and corrective actions for nonconforming materials.
  • 6Calibrate CMM, vision systems, and optical comparators to maintain measurement integrity.
  • 7Champion continuous improvement by flagging process gaps and suggesting fixes.
  • 8Own 2nd shift quality coverage, ensuring zero delays in production releases.

  • 2Read GD&T blueprints and apply tolerance stacks.
