What You'll Do7
- 1Inspect sub-assemblies and finished products using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to verify dimensional accuracy and electrical continuity.
- 2Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, and wire cards to identify critical tolerances and inspection points.
- 3Document inspection results in SAP and Excel, maintaining precise records for traceability and quality audits.
- 4Approve or reject in-process and finished assemblies based on IPC-A-610 and ISO 9001 standards, escalating defects to the quality engineer.
- 5Follow detailed inspection procedures and quality guidelines for each product line, ensuring consistency across shifts.
- 6Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of defects and reduce scrap during the first 90 days.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized inspection station, following 5S principles to reduce errors and speed up workflow.
Requirements6
- 12+ years of manufacturing inspection experience, including dimensional and electrical checks (required).
- 2Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints (required).
- 3High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 4Experience with CMMs, calipers, and micrometers preferred.
- 5Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- 6Additional technical training or education is a plus.
