What You'll Do12
- 1Provide security services with a customer service approach emphasizing professionalism fairness and compassion

- 3Conduct interior and exterior patrols performing vulnerability inspections and fire condition audits
- 4Manage patient valuables and coordinate contraband searches during routine activities
- 5Assist visitors patients and team members offering information directions and physical help
- 6Enforce safety regulations and intervene with unauthorized persons using appropriate force techniques
- 7Respond to emergencies including combative patients and active threats using CEW and handcuffs
- 8Lead emergency response planning preventing incidents involving infants children fires and active threats
- 9Investigate incidents on property completing accurate reports and addressing complaints
- 10Perform liaison duties cultivating partnerships with internal departments and external agencies
- 11Deliver security awareness education to staff leveraging collective vigilance
- 12Coordinate with law enforcement liaising with federal state and local agencies
Requirements12
- 1Security Officer Healthcare Certification from IAHSS within two years of hire
- 2Armed Guard License for North Carolina teammates within one year
- 3NIMS Compliance Certification and FOID Card from Illinois State Police
- 4Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation licensure and FCC for proprietary personnel
- 5High school diploma or GED with minimum one year relevant security experience
- 6Emotional intelligence empathy and compassionate response capabilities
- 7Ability to remain calm under pressure and foster teamwork in therapeutic environments
- 8Proficiency in communication radio telephone systems and documentation software
- 9Physical fitness meeting weightlifting requirements and firearm operation demands
- 10Background investigation drug screen and psychological screening post-offer
- 11Illinois specific 20 hour Basic Security Officer course with pistol endorsement
- 12Willingness to carry authorized firearm and maintain Level III holster per policy
