Property Manager, Multifamily & Yardi
Overview
You own the full operational cycle of a Minneapolis multifamily property: leasing, maintenance, budgets, and tenant experience. You report to a regional director and coordinate a team of maintenance techs and leasing agents. This role centers on Yardi proficiency and Fair Housing compliance, with a focus on driving occupancy through proactive sales. You will make decisions that directly impact property performance and resident retention.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage property operations from lease execution to move-out, including Yardi data entry and reporting.
- 2Drive occupancy by conducting tours, marketing vacancies, and implementing lease renewal strategies.
- 3Enforce Fair Housing standards and maintain legal compliance across all leasing documents and processes.
- 4Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule and track work orders, ensuring timely resolution of resident requests.
- 5Prepare monthly financial reports, monitor budgets, and control expenses through vendor negotiations.
- 6Resolve tenant issues with professionalism, from noise complaints to emergency maintenance, using Yardi to log interactions.
- 7Inspect units and common areas, documenting conditions and coordinating turnover work.
- 8Lead a small team of leasing agents and maintenance techs, setting performance goals and conducting training.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in property management, with hands-on facilities oversight.
- 2Proficiency in Yardi or comparable property management software for daily operations.
- 3Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
- 4Strong administrative skills: lease processing, record keeping, and legal documentation.
- 5Proven ability to manage budgets, including operating expenses and capital projects.
- 6Excellent customer service track record, resolving resident issues without escalation.
- 7Professional communication, both written and verbal, for tenant and vendor interactions.
