Property Controller at Flow - Financial Leader
Overview
The Property Controller at Flow will lead financial operations as the company scales its real estate portfolio. This role builds and maintains financial infrastructure supporting expansion while translating operational complexity into clear insights. You will drive accurate reporting and compliance across a growing network of properties.
What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee and manage full property accounting month-end close process and support Flow’s overall accounting month-end close process from beginning to end
- 2Compile analyze and track financial data through detailed reviews of monthly property owner reports
- 3Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external property managers
- 4Work with auditors for interim and year end audits
- 5Internally own tax preparation for real estate entities and coordinate with third party tax advisors
- 6Run cash forecast model and monitor cash flow in partnership with other finance team members
- 7Assist in budget preparation and review
- 8Manage payment of loans and loan compliance
- 9Oversee retail tenant escalation calculations including CAM taxes and other operating expenses
- 10Troubleshoot issues and ensure timely accurate handling of internal client requests with focus on customer service
- 11Coordinate with property management teams to resolve tenant billing and collection issues
Requirements7
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 37+ years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with real estate accounting and analytics
- 4Proficiency with Excel G-Suite Yardi Netsuite/Intacct
- 5Knowledge of GAAP for real estate property
- 6Understanding of real estate terms definitions and analytical methodology
- 7Ability to multitask prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
