Project Manager - Crane Rentals - Kansas City
Overview
The Project Manager will lead end-to-end management of large scale crane and rigging projects ensuring successful delivery while operating with high autonomy. This role requires managing multiple projects independently and maintaining strong customer relationships. Responsibilities include creating bid documents coordinating with field estimators and collaborating with dispatch and invoicing departments.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead and manage complex projects from initial inquiry through completion with minimal oversight
- 2Serve as primary point of contact for customers and field teams
- 3Maintain required crane documentation and job site information including rigging requirements and setup details
- 4Prepare detailed quote documents and submit RFQ/RFP submissions
- 5Track job status scheduling and changes while updating internal systems
- 6Collaborate with Dispatch and Invoicing departments to ensure accurate billing
- 7Monitor customer purchase orders and attach contract documents to jobs
- 8Review company purchase orders and work with Controller on pay applications
- 9Track project costs revenue and profitability
- 10Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates
- 11Promote company safety initiatives and attend occasional site visits
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree or 4-7+ years construction crane rental heavy equipment experience preferred
- 2Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3Proven ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- 4Strong customer relationship management capabilities
- 5Experience in diverse work environments and connecting with decision makers
- 6Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- 7High attention to detail with accuracy
- 8Physical demands include sitting standing walking stooping or crouching
- 9Work primarily in office environment with occasional site interaction
