Project Engineer, Civil Construction
Overview
You will own civil site work for SunWest Contracting in the greater Phoenix area, managing budgets, schedules, and field coordination across multiple projects. You will report directly to the senior project manager and coordinate with clients, vendors, inspectors, and subcontractors. This role stands apart with a company truck, annual performance bonus up to 10% of salary, and paid vacation. You will handle wet and dry utility installation from start to finish, with Excel and B2W as your core tools.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop budgets and weekly cost reports using Excel
- 2Create and maintain project schedules in MS Project to keep jobs on time
- 3Coordinate with vendors to order project materials and track deliveries
- 4Facilitate equipment moves and repairs to keep field teams running
- 5Coordinate final walkthroughs, create punchlists, and obtain final acceptance
- 6Track and report job progress by maintaining a daily log in B2W
- 7Process change orders with clients and subcontractors
- 8Implement the safety program and lead Toolbox Talks with field crews
Requirements8
- 12+ years relevant construction or civil engineering experience
- 2Construction or Civil Engineering degree preferred
- 3Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- 4Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings
- 5Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable communication device
- 7Legal right to work in the United States
- 8High School Diploma or GED
