Lead project controls for HDR's Transportation Business Group in Rosemont IL. Manage change and records adherence while partnering with designers and contractors to resolve variances. Develop KPIs and coordinate cross‑business meetings. Set up procedural frameworks for variance reporting and reconciliation. What You'll Do11
- 1Own and enforce project controls practices for change management and records management
- 2Partner with designers contractors inspectors and third‑party entities to identify and resolve scope and pricing variances
- 3Establish reporting procedures and tools for variance preparation and reconciliation
- 4Develop and monitor key performance indicators and report findings to project staff and clients
- 5Proactively collaborate across business groups to lead coordination meetings
- 6Review change documentation to ensure compliance with contract specifications and establish project schedules and forecasts
- 7Analyze cost and resource loaded schedules and interpret construction schedules
- 8Coordinate proposal preparation contract review and negotiation for medium to large EPC projects
- 9Maintain employee‑owned culture as one of many global organizations
- 10Support diversity initiatives through eight employee network groups
- 11Facilitate communication and problem‑solving among multidisciplinary teams
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Construction engineering or related field
- 2Minimum 7 years of project controls experience on engineering and construction projects
- 3Certifications such as CPE CEP PSP EVP PMP CCM PRMP DRMP CFCC PE MCSA BI Reporting proficiency in Primavera or scheduling software
- 4Strong decision‑making and interpersonal leadership abilities
- 5Ability to manage multi‑long term tasks with high organizational analytical and problem‑solving skills
- 6Commitment to employee‑owned culture and inclusive workplace principles
- 7Experience with cost loading schedules and construction schedule interpretation
- 8Preference for local candidates
