The Project Controls Lead, Turnaround and Capital at PBF Energy leads company-wide implementation of best practices for capital projects and turnarounds. This onsite role in Philadelphia involves leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve best-in-class turnaround performance through advanced Project Controls software systems. The successful candidate will develop and maintain standards for turnaround planning scheduling estimating and cost control while driving integration with enterprise systems like SAP.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and implement company-wide standards for turnaround planning scheduling estimating and cost control
- 2Implement and maintain a centralized turnaround management system using software-based solutions
- 3Standardize planning work packaging and scheduling practices across all refinery sites
- 4Drive resource-loaded logic-defined craft level schedules with integration capabilities for manpower efficiencies
- 5Create standardized cost estimation tracking and forecasting methods to improve financial predictability
- 6Partner with turnaround departments to manage budgets and control costs effectively
- 7Provide comparisons of cost estimates plans and schedules between refineries for executive decision-making
- 8Lead contractor performance assessments and evaluations to promote continuous improvement
- 9Establish KPIs for project controls at the portfolio level and participate in site readiness reviews
- 10Benchmark against industry standards and foster innovation in turnaround planning
- 11Serve as central subject matter expert guiding site teams and leadership on turnaround controls
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering Business Project Management or related field
- 2Minimum 10 years experience in refinery turnaround planning scheduling and cost control with 5 years in leadership
- 3Familiarity with industry process safety environmental regulations and refinery processes
- 4Proven track record leading large-scale turnaround project controls and execution
- 5Strong knowledge of turnaround planning methodologies scheduling software like Primavera P6 and cost control best practices
- 6Experience managing turnaround management software systems and integrating with ERP platforms
- 7Excellent leadership and communication skills across multiple refinery locations
- 8Ability to drive process standardization and efficiency improvements
- 9Strong financial acumen with experience in cost estimation budget control and variance analysis
- 10Critical thinking problem-solving skills negotiation and conflict management
- 11On-site presence 5 days weekly with up to 50% travel during implementation phase
