Overview
Production Supervisor at 1X owns daily assembly floor rhythm ensuring NEO robots leave built right on time. This role drives production targets maintains safety quality and scales manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Hit daily and weekly NEO build targets without compromising safety or quality through throughput yield and first-pass metrics
- 2Lead and train a skilled production team measuring retention cross-training and performance
- 3Reduce defect rates quarterly via root-cause analysis process control and engineering feedback loops
- 4Ensure zero preventable incidents maintain full safety protocol compliance foster proactive issue raising
- 5Identify and implement at least one process improvement per quarter improving cycle time ergonomics quality or cost
- 6Supervise floor operations in Hayward or San Carlos on day or swing shifts
- 7Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve technical challenges
- 8Maintain communication across technicians engineers and leadership without losing core message
- 9Drive continuous improvement using lean Six Sigma Kaizen or similar methodologies
- 10Manage MES ERP or production tracking systems
- 11Develop cross-training plans and technician development tracks
Requirements9
- 13+ years directly supervising production teams on-floor
- 2Proven record hitting production targets while sustaining quality and safety
- 3Fluency in production planning quality systems and safety practices
- 4Comfortable in fast-paced environments with evolving processes
- 5Experience in low-volume high-complexity manufacturing such as robotics aerospace medical devices EVs or advanced electromechanical assembly
- 6Familiarity with lean Six Sigma Kaizen or continuous improvement methods
- 7Background launching new product lines or ramping processes from pilot to production
- 8MES ERP or production tracking system knowledge
- 9Technician training and development expertise including cross-training matrices
