Own and optimize a high-volume medical-device production cell across multiple shifts within a regulated environment. Lead a cross-functional team on the floor to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets. Drive improvements in yield, OEE, and cycle times while maintaining ISO 13485/9001 compliance. This hands-on leadership role blends daily coaching with strategic alignment to customer requirements and site operations.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build daily production plans and orchestrate shift handoffs across functions
  • 2Lead cell-performance reviews and communicate constraints, recovery plans, owners, and due dates
  • 3Track and improve safety, schedule attainment, output, first-pass yield, scrap, labor efficiency, downtime, OEE, and on-time delivery
  • 4Maintain staffing and technical coverage based on production schedule and workload
  • 5Coach and develop supervisors, technicians, leads, and operators while ensuring accountability for standards and results
  • 6Coordinate rapid response and lead corrective action for recurring molding, tooling, automation, testing, material, quality, and labor issues
  • 7Improve standard work, visual controls, escalation practices, startup verification, changeovers, and production reporting
  • 8Partner with Quality and technical departments to maintain ISO 13485/9001 requirements and support validations, audits, engineering changes, and equipment improvements
  • 9Control overtime, direct labor, scrap, consumables, and other operating costs within the area
  • 10Create a culture of safety, quality, urgency, ownership, disciplined communication, and teamwork across shifts

Requirements7

  • 1At least five years of manufacturing experience including two or more years leading production employees in a multi-shift operation
  • 2Demonstrated ability to manage schedule attainment, labor, scrap, downtime, quality, and production recovery
  • 3Strong floor-leadership skills and willingness to verify problems and operating conditions on the floor
  • 4Ability to organize cross-functional resources, assign ownership, and follow actions through completion within a formal quality-management system
  • 5Strong communication, coaching, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • 6Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production or ERP systems
  • 7High school diploma or equivalent
