Senior Operations Manager, MedSurg & Manufacturing
Overview
Lead manufacturing, planning, purchasing, materials, and distribution in a regulated medical device environment. Drive talent development, continuous improvement, and strategic planning across multiple operational areas to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, and commercial teams to execute operational goals.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead manufacturing, planning, purchasing, materials, and distribution teams to achieve production, quality, inventory, and cost performance targets
- 2Develop talent through recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and development planning
- 3Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, and structured problem solving to improve productivity, quality, inventory performance, and operational efficiency
- 4Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow prioritization to ensure medical devices are produced and delivered on time and in a cost effective manner
- 5Oversee regulatory compliance, GMP, quality management processes, and workplace safety standards across operations
- 6Direct capital equipment evaluations, facility improvement initiatives, and asset preservation activities to support future capacity needs
- 7Manage departmental budgets, operating expenses, and capital planning with regular leadership reporting
- 8Partner with Quality, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and suppliers to support goals and project execution
- 9Provide leadership in cross functional projects and strategic initiatives across multiple operational areas
- 10Mentor and develop operational leaders to scale capabilities across the organization
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field
- 2Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related field
- 3Minimum 5 years of supervisory or people management experience
- 4Experience managing manufacturing operations in a regulated environment with quality and compliance requirements
- 5Experience managing budgets, operational performance metrics, and cross functional projects
- 6Experience implementing process improvements, production optimization initiatives, or operational excellence programs
Salary Insight
$136 - $226k per year
