Product Operations Associate - Flights Inventory
Overview
You will own airline inventory and bookings systems as a Product Operations Associate at Capital One Travel. This role focuses on scaling operational excellence within a fast-paced travel technology environment. You will drive improvements in inventory quality and bookability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do12
- 1Support operational health and day-to-day performance of airline inventory and bookings systems
- 2Monitor bookability latency shopping behavior and operational metrics to identify issues and trends
- 3Assist with bug triage escalation tracking and operational investigations across booking environments
- 4Test validate and continuously improve new features supplier integrations and configuration changes
- 5Maintain fare mapping supplier configurations and manage tenant configurations across booking systems
- 6Support NDC integrations and supplier connectivity initiatives to improve inventory quality and coverage
- 7Coordinate with Customer Service Product Engineering and Commercial teams to resolve operational issues
- 8Maintain operational documentation playbooks workflows and alerting processes
- 9Use dashboards reporting tools and AI-assisted technologies to surface trends and support decisions
- 10Advocate for customer experience by identifying operational gaps and sharing actionable insights
- 11Lead operational launches roadmap activities and cross-functional initiatives across Capital One Travel categories
- 12Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with technical teams to implement AI-powered tools
Requirements11
- 1Minimum 5 years experience in air travel and with air travel providers such as Sabre Amadeus Travelport or NDC
- 2At least 1 year experience with tools like Jira Confluence Amplitude Datadog or AI technology AWS
- 3Proficiency with SQL and data analysis experience for decision making
- 4Experience with Google Suite branded fares ancillaries API integrations and XML or JSON protocols
- 5Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
- 6Judgment organizational skills and ability to prioritize in ambiguous environments
- 7Curiosity around automation AI-assisted operational tooling and process improvement
- 8Strong analytical mindset using data dashboards to identify trends and monitor performance
- 9Customer focus understanding reliable booking experiences and operational quality
- 10Teamwork and collaboration across Customer Service Product Engineering and Commercial teams
