Produce Clerk, Fresh Foods & Customer Service
Overview
You will own the fresh produce department at a BJ's Wholesale Club, serving thousands of members daily. You will inspect, rotate, and stock fruits and vegetables to meet company quality standards. You will work alongside a team of 30,000+ associates, reporting to the Fresh Manager. This role offers weekly pay, free BJ's memberships, and paid time off. You'll deliver GOLD Member Standards and keep the department clean and fully stocked.
What You'll Do9
- 1Inspect, rotate, and store produce deliveries to meet or exceed company quality standards.
- 2Stock and rotate fruit and vegetable displays to ensure optimal freshness and variety.
- 3Maintain clean and organized display areas, including produce coolers and refrigerated cases.
- 4Assist members with product recommendations and safe handling tips for produce.
- 5Remove and properly dispose of damaged or expired items following company guidelines.
- 6Generate accurate signage and perform price checks for all produce items.
- 7Support the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
- 8Follow club policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- 9Work in other departments when needed, ensuring regular attendance and team collaboration.
Requirements6
- 118+ years of age.
- 2Work experience in a produce department preferred.
- 3Knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including seasonal items.
- 4Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently, and 30+ pounds with assistance.
- 5Comfort working in temperature extremes from freezers and coolers.
- 6Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Salary Insight
$33 - $42k per year
