Duarte Grocery Outlet seeks an energetic Produce Associate to own the front end of the produce department at scale in Duarte CA Onsite role focused on freshness quality and customer service You will work with the produce team to keep displays organized rotate stock and ensure food safety standards Bold Produce as the primary tech or certification and highlight food safety practices in context You will join a supportive community focused on value and a positive shopping experience for neighbors
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain attractive produce displays by stocking rotating and replenishing items
- 2Inspect and remove damaged or expired items to uphold quality and freshness
- 3Assist customers in locating produce and answering questions about varieties and seasonality
- 4Maintain cleanliness and organization of displays coolers and work areas ensuring safety and efficiency
- 5Receive unload and verify shipments of produce against orders and invoices
- 6Apply proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- 7Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and ensure a positive shopping experience
- 8Support inventory management including rotation and labeling to minimize waste
- 9Maintain consistent pace in a fast-moving environment while delivering friendly service
- 10Support weekend and holiday operations to ensure department coverage and customer satisfaction
Requirements8
- 1Previous experience in produce preferred
- 2Knowledge of fresh produce varieties quality standards and seasonal items is a plus
- 3Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- 4Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- 5Reliable punctual and a team-oriented attitude
- 6Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- 7Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- 8Onsite role in Duarte CA with a customer-facing focus
Salary Insight
