What You'll Do11
- 1Supervise personnel and participate in pharmacy workflow including data entry prescription fulfillment and dispensing
- 2Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards across all age groups
- 3Prepare label and dispense medications as ordered by physicians
- 4Maintain appropriate pharmaceutical records
- 5Perform distributive activities using computer order-entry systems
- 6Supervise drug distribution tasks performed by support staff
- 7Interpret medication orders and monitor drug regimens
- 8Assist with adherence packaging and patient education
- 9Promote cost-effective drug therapy
- 10Document activities per departmental policies
- 11Provide general drug information services
Requirements9
- 1Strong communication skills
- 2Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- 3Moderate computer knowledge
- 4Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems
- 5Current and valid pharmacy registration and licensure
- 6Baccalaureate or PharmD degree
- 7Graduation from American Council on Pharmaceutical Education accredited school
