Overview
System One seeks a Principal SDET – Cybersecurity Test Engineer in Lakewood Colorado to develop and drive cybersecurity testing strategy across Software Quality Engineering organization. This role embeds cybersecurity as continuous front-loaded practice while ensuring compliance with medical device regulations. The ideal candidate leads security testing initiatives and mentors engineers.

- 1Define standardized cybersecurity testing strategy aligned with product architecture and regulatory requirements
- 2Train and mentor engineers on cybersecurity testing practices through documentation and knowledge sessions
- 3Create cybersecurity test plans meeting medical device regulatory standards
- 4Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments on new and existing products
- 5Implement security testing protocols to protect sensitive data
- 6Oversee automated test script development across test pyramid levels
- 7Lead dynamic application security testing and advise on DAST feasibility
- 8Collaborate with architecture teams to establish testing standards and development practices
- 9Partner with external consultants on joint security testing efforts
- 10Contribute to codebases within Scrum teams and resolve environment issues
- 11Lead test level discussions and engage at any testing stage
- 12Monitor emerging threats and update testing methodologies accordingly
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 2Minimum 8 years experience in SDET role
- 3At least 5 years experience in cybersecurity testing
- 4Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals
- 5Proficiency in C# C++ and Python
- 6Deep expertise in cybersecurity principles for medical devices
- 7Experience designing automated test frameworks
- 8Familiarity with DAST and security testing tools
- 9Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps
- 10Certifications such as CISSP CSSLP OSCP
- 11Experience with Docker REST APIs JSON and cloud platforms Azure
