Overview
We seek an SDET Engineer to lead test automation at Bright Vision Technologies. This role focuses on designing scalable frameworks and driving quality engineering across distributed systems. The ideal candidate will shape automation strategies and mentor engineers while contributing to long-term SOW goals.
What You'll Do12
- 1Design and build robust test automation frameworks for web API mobile microservice testing
- 2Write production-quality automated test code in Java Python JavaScript or C# using Selenium Cypress Playwright RestAssured or Pact
- 3Implement contract testing with Pact or similar tools for microservice ecosystems
- 4Develop CI/CD test pipelines using Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
- 5Create performance test suites with JMeter Gatling k6 or Locust including realistic load models
- 6Apply security testing fundamentals such as dependency scanning SAST DAST and OWASP checks
- 7Lead test strategy discussions covering risk-based exploratory and shift-left practices
- 8Collaborate with developers and architects to identify quality risks early
- 9Perform root-cause analysis of production incidents and translate findings into automated regressions
- 10Drive continuous improvement of test coverage reliability and feedback time
- 11Mentor junior QA engineers and uphold engineering rigor in testing practices
- 12Contribute to internal testing tools and reusable libraries
Requirements14
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 2Five or more years of SDET or test-focused software engineering experience
- 3Strong programming skills in Java Python JavaScript or C#
- 4Hands-on experience with Selenium Cypress Playwright or RESTAssured
- 5Solid experience automating REST and gRPC APIs
- 6Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for test automation
- 7Solid SQL skills and database validation experience
- 8Understanding of microservices distributed systems and modern web architectures
- 9Excellent debugging communication and documentation skills
- 10Experience in Agile Scrum environments
- 11Contract testing tools like Pact Spring Cloud Contract
- 12Performance testing with JMeter Gatling k6 or Locust
- 13Security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP Burp Suite or Snyk
- 14ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
