Overview
JITX seeks a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to lead technical direction for significant product areas and own them end-to-end. This role involves architecting and implementing user and license management systems while transitioning to core runtime components. The ideal candidate drives consensus on technical paths and raises engineering standards through mentorship and pattern establishment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build scalable user management platforms using TypeScript/React frontend and Python application server
- 2Design and implement custom input handling with PixiJS and advanced visualization techniques
- 3Develop sophisticated Python APIs for programmatic circuit board design
- 4Architect algorithm-heavy runtime systems leveraging computational geometry and parallel computing
- 5Mentor engineers through code reviews and establish best practices across the team
- 6Identify and resolve technical debt while balancing tradeoffs and driving consensus
- 7Translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions and system designs
- 8Own large complex features from planning through production with end-to-end responsibility
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rearchitect core systems for modern hardware capabilities

- 1Extensive full stack experience with TypeScript/React and Python with architectural decision-making at scale
- 2Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills including complexity analysis and data structure expertise
- 3Proven ability to drive technical direction and follow through on architectural decisions
- 4Experience identifying technical debt and evaluating tradeoffs across distributed systems
- 5Self-directed work style with product sense and ability to unblock teams independently
- 6Background in developer tools or technical products with database and authentication system experience
- 7Familiarity with graphics libraries like PixiJS Three.js or WebGL for UI/UX visualization
- 8Knowledge of developer-focused identity management solutions such as WorkOS or Auth0
- 9Comfort with polyglot programming and working across multiple language paradigms
- 10Interest in hardware electronics or CAD tools for understanding domain constraints
- 11Veteran software engineering background with experience in ambiguous startup environments
