Overview
You will own comprehensive primary care for a diverse patient panel at a multi-specialty practice in the Bronx, handling ~15-20 patients per day. What You'll Do8
- 1Own comprehensive primary care: conduct routine check-ups, health screenings, and preventive care for a diverse patient panel at a multi-specialty practice in Bronx, NY.
- 2Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory infections, using Epic EMR to track patient histories.
- 3Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging, to guide treatment plans and referrals.
- 4Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based guidelines.
- 5Educate patients and families on disease prevention, lifestyle changes, and medication adherence, improving long-term health outcomes.
- 6Coordinate care with on-site specialists across cardiology, endocrinology, and pulmonology to ensure seamless treatment.
- 7Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Epic EMR, meeting compliance and quality standards.
- 8Deliver patient-centered care with empathy, respecting cultural differences and patient preferences.
Requirements8
- 1MD from an accredited medical school
- 2Active New York State medical license
- 3Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Primary Care
- 4Open to new graduates with completed residency in primary care specialty
