Pricing Coordinator, Retail Operations & Price Accuracy
Overview
You will own price accuracy and tag integrity for a Food Lion store, scanning 1,000+ items weekly to minimize shrink and maximize sales. Working directly within the store team, you coordinate with the Customer Support Center and Voice of Retail to correct pricing discrepancies. This role stands out because you are the gatekeeper of shelf pricing, ensuring every tag matches the system, and you directly protect store profitability.
What You'll Do10
- 1Scan product or tags for each price change to ensure accuracy, correcting any differences found.
- 2Replace tags for every item that changes price across all departments, maintaining 100% tag accuracy.
- 3Maintain signage for displays during the price change process to prevent customer confusion.
- 4Pull tags and hangs for deleted items, and order replacement shelf tags for Warehouse and DSD products.
- 5Verify prices and tags for 1,000 items each week using the wireless hand-held unit, following the schedule from the Customer Support Center.
- 6Communicate mispriced items or 'not on files' to the Customer Support Center via Voice of Retail.
- 7Tag new items and confirm they scan correctly at point of sale, ensuring seamless checkout.
- 8Audit closeouts and markdowns, updating tags to reflect current pricing and prevent shrink.
- 9Collaborate with department managers to resolve pricing discrepancies and maintain standard practice.
- 10Complete Computer Based Training modules and apply food safety and workplace safety guidelines.
Requirements10
- 1High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- 2Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer and associate interactions
- 3Ability to learn multiple technical tasks, including handheld scanners and pricing systems
- 4Capable of using computers and communication systems to perform job functions
- 5Bend and lift products up to 15 lbs continuously, 25 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs on occasion
- 6Push or pull up to 75 lbs on occasion
- 7Stand for 100% of the shift, with frequent walking
- 8Handle currency and operate equipment like cash registers and scanners
- 9Tolerate extreme temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time
- 10Meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations
