Overview
A manufacturing team in Charlotte is seeking a Press Brake Operator to own the setup and operation of CNC press brakes, fabricating custom metal parts from blueprints. Reporting to the shop lead, you will join a team of fabricators and engineers, working full-time Monday to Thursday. This role offers a pay rate of $25.00 per hour and up, with weekly pay and a benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision insurance. You will apply 10+ years of experience in a custom fabrication environment to deliver precision parts, with a path to permanent employment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Set up and operate CNC press brakes to fabricate custom metal parts according to blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- 2Program machines directly at the controller, selecting tools, calculating bend deductions and stretch outs, and optimizing bend sequences.
- 3Interpret and verify specifications using precision measuring instruments and CAD drawings.
- 4Perform complex forming techniques including bump forming and rolling to achieve specific contours and radii.
- 5Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.
- 6Collaborate with engineers and other fabricators to ensure production success.
- 7Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
Requirements7
- 110+ years of experience operating and programming CNC press brakes in a custom fabrication setting.
- 2Proven ability to calculate stretch outs and read complex fabrication blueprints.
- 3Hands-on experience with bump forming and rolling techniques.
- 4Strong understanding of sheet metal properties, tolerances, and bend allowances.
- 5Familiarity with multiple gauge metals and a variety of fabrication tools and machines.
- 6Ability to lift 50lbs (in office assessment will be conducted).
- 7Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
