What You'll Do11
- 1Adhere to company and safety policies and procedures
- 2Become knowledgeable with Montessori terminology and methods
- 3Assist the lead teacher in creating a prepared environment
- 4Maintain a clean and inviting classroom space
- 5Support social emotional and academic development through individual and group activities
- 6Guide children in selecting work and returning completed tasks
- 7Teach small group lessons and encourage independent work time
- 8Collaborate with children parents and staff to build cooperative relationships
- 9Participate in school programs and assist during lunch
- 10Promote self-help skills and independence in daily routines
- 11Drive enrollment and program success through positive classroom dynamics
Requirements9
- 190 hour certification or 45 hour infant toddler certification preferred
- 2Associate degree preferred
- 3Minimum 1 year preschool or childcare experience
- 4Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and practices
- 5Ability to travel within Montgomery County for occasional commutes
- 6Background check clearance
- 7Comfortable working with infants and toddlers
- 8Availability for full-time Monday Friday 9am-6pm schedule
- 9Strong communication and teamwork abilities
