What You'll Do11
- 1Assess adult pediatric adolescent and geriatric patients to determine individual needs
- 2Formulate goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes
- 3Implement care using nursing processes to achieve desired patient outcomes
- 4Prioritize patient care based on clinical needs and resource availability
- 5Manage emergency situations following established protocols while maintaining calm
- 6Document patient information accurately and timely in records
- 7Maintain current CPR and ACLS certifications and participate in staff meetings
- 8Apply knowledge of medical surgical care pharmaceutical actions and safety protocols
- 9Solve problems effectively to make sound decisions
- 10Follow physician orders professionally and assist with additional duties
- 11Adhere to patient rights policies and demonstrate flexibility in care delivery
Requirements8
- 1Degree from an accredited nursing program and RN license in Pennsylvania
- 2Minimum three years staff nursing experience preferably in PreOp/PACU settings
- 3Strong understanding of medical/surgical patient care and pharmacology
- 4Ability to lift 20 pounds and push/pull 25 pounds regularly
- 5Ability to stand/walk 10 hours daily and meet close vision requirements
- 6Commitment to continuous learning with preference for Associate degree
- 7Experience in ED ICU critical care PACU nursing
- 8BLS certification preferred and willingness to obtain CPR certification
