What You'll Do7
- 1Guide a teaching team to create plans, goals, and lead hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the 4- and 5-year-old children in your classroom
- 2Maintain open communication with parents sharing their child's daily milestones
- 3Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
- 4Pass required state and company background checks and meet education and experience requirements
- 5Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice for children
- 6Meet state Teacher Qualified requirements including 60 semester hours or 1 year of experience
- 7Provide supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in a preschool setting
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2College-level coursework in early childhood education CDA or associate/bachelor degree preferred
- 31 year of professional experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred
- 4Demonstrated knowledge of DAP for children
- 5Compliance with state Teacher Qualified requirements in Illinois
