Overview

As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Primrose School of Andover, you will craft a safe, multi-sensory learning environment that builds kindergarten readiness. What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and deliver multi-sensory lesson plans that align with Balanced Learning® standards to spark curiosity and confidence.
  • 2Guide children through daily routines that build kindergarten readiness skills including early literacy, math, and social-emotional development.
  • 3Observe each child's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • 4Nurture social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development through play-based activities.
  • 5Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting classroom that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • 6Communicate daily with parents about their child's experiences and milestones.
  • 7Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to create a cohesive classroom culture.
  • 8Implement positive guidance techniques that foster self-regulation and empathy.

Requirements7

  • 1EEC Certification for Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • 21-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
  • 3Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
  • 4Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
  • 5Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 6CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start).
  • 7High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
