Overview
Own a classroom of eager kindergarteners at Primrose School at Fall Creek, guiding them through a research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum. You'll prepare students for elementary school through small group academic lessons, scientific investigation, and creative expression. Partner with a co-teacher to deliver daily plans packed with songs, stories, games, and art, fostering curiosity, creativity, and compassion. Your days involve building problem-solving skills via the design thinking process, helping children master literacy and math fundamentals, and nurturing social and emotional growth. This role offers a fully stocked classroom, supportive leadership, and the joy of seeing a child's face light up with new understanding.
What You'll Do7
- 1Teach children through the design thinking process with challenges that build problem-solving skills, innovative thinking, executive function, and character.
- 2Help children master critical literacy and math skills through engaging, hands-on activities aligned with Balanced Learning®.
- 3Coordinate with your co-teacher to implement daily lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum, adapting to each child's needs.
- 4Lead small group academic lessons and scientific investigations that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning.
- 5Incorporate creative expression, physical well-being, and social-emotional development into every school day.
- 6Discover what motivates each child, whether songs, stories, games, or art, to stimulate their abilities and growth.
- 7Build a safe, healthy classroom environment that supports each child's individual journey toward school readiness.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of experience in a kindergarten or early childhood classroom setting.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- 3Valid State Teacher Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- 4Proven ability to implement Balanced Learning® or similar research-based curricula.
- 5Strong communication skills to partner with co-teachers and parents.
- 6CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
- 7Demonstrated passion for fostering social, emotional, and academic growth in young children.
