Overview

The organization seeks a dedicated Pottery Instructor II to lead youth and adult pottery programs. What You'll Do9

  • 1Instruct youth and adult pottery classes while preparing curriculum and gathering feedback from peers
  • 2Operate kilns and mix glazes according to program volume requirements
  • 3Supervise pottery studio during open lab times and manage inventory orders
  • 4Plan and maintain studio cleanliness across all facilities including equipment areas
  • 5Oversee pottery sales and handle related administrative tasks
  • 6Conduct classes at four recreation facilities and collaborate with the Arts Enrichment Coordinator
  • 7Perform data analysis and report writing to track program outcomes
  • 8Maintain compliance with safety regulations and physical demands including lifting capabilities
  • 9Develop and implement training programs for new staff members

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in art or related field from accredited institution
  • 22+ years experience in youth or adult clay arts programming
  • 3Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification
  • 4Ability to lift 20 pounds independently and 40 pounds with assistance
  • 5Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • 6Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse groups
  • 7Experience with POS systems and inventory management software
  • 8Commitment to continuous professional development through workshops and certifications
  • 9Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required
  • 10Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as scheduling permits
