What You'll Do9
- 1Detailed evaluation and analysis of AI tools and ML models impacting small molecule drug discovery stages
- 2Clear communication of findings through internal presentations and high impact publications
- 3Utilize historical Gilead data and structures to evaluate co-folding tools potency models and ADME models
- 4Implement and analyze virtual screening methods including active learning and Thompson Sampling
- 5Investigate machine learning predictions for heterobifunctional degraders using SMILES strings or 3D conformational ensembles
- 6Design robust model validation strategies with uncertainty quantification and applicability domain assessment
- 7Collaborate with cross functional teams to explore AI driven solutions for drug discovery challenges
- 8Drive independent problem solving and resource identification for complex research questions
- 9Maintain detailed documentation of methodologies and results for reproducibility
Requirements9
- 1Ph.D. with minimum 0 years relevant research experience specializing in AI/ML applied to drug discovery or computational chemistry
- 2Strong programming proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks
- 3Expertise with cheminformatics toolkits such as RDKit OpenEye or Schrodinger
- 4Demonstrated ability to design evaluate and validate machine learning models for chemical property prediction
- 5Experience with virtual screening techniques including active learning and Thompson Sampling
- 6Understanding of heterobifunctional degrader property prediction using molecular representations
- 7Excellent communication skills both verbal and technical for diverse audiences
- 8Ability to work independently while contributing to collaborative research environments
- 9Strong organizational skills for managing complex multi stage projects
