Full-Time Lateral or Entry Level Police Officer I II III in Salt Lake City UT paysl. Payroll onsite. Up to $3000 signing bonus for lateral candidates. Starting wage based on years experience. What You'll Do11
- 1Operate department vehicle safely during normal and emergency driving per policy and state statute
- 2Respond to calls for service and assist other officers at supervisor direction
- 3Perform initial investigations of criminal activity and traffic accidents
- 4Preserve crime scenes for evidence collection and prepare investigation reports
- 5Maintain knowledge of criminal and traffic law and take proactive law enforcement actions
- 6Use required force for arrests up to deadly force
- 7Articulate investigation facts in court for arrests citations
- 8Assist community members with directions and general questions
- 9Maintain professional appearance adhering to dress standards
- 10Knowledge of department equipment and perform maintenance tasks
- 11Collaborate with other agencies and hold required certifications
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Age 21 or older
- 3U.S. citizen or lawful resident with 5+ years work authorization
- 4Pass written interview oral interview physical fitness testing background polygraph psychological drug screen and physical
- 5Valid driver's license and obtain Utah license within 14 days
- 6P.O.S.T certification within 6 months of hire
- 7Physical fitness 1.5 mile run in 15:54 push ups 35 sit ups in one minute 16 inch vertical jump
