
PMO Analyst, Portfolio Financials & Data Analytics
Overview
You will own the financial and data analytics for a large portfolio, reporting to the PMO lead. You will track budgets, forecasts, and actuals across 10-15 projects, working with Excel, Power BI, and SQL. You will partner with project managers and finance to deliver weekly and monthly reporting. This role offers direct exposure to executive decision-making, with the chance to build dashboards that guide $50M+ in portfolio spend. What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain portfolio financial models in Excel and Power BI to track budgets, forecasts, and actuals
- 2Produce weekly and monthly variance reports, highlighting risks and opportunities to the PMO lead
- 3Load and validate project data into SQL databases, ensuring accuracy for executive reporting
- 4Design dashboards that visualize resource capacity and spend across the portfolio
- 5Collaborate with project managers to align on financial forecasts and actuals each month
- 6Drive the quarterly budget cycle by consolidating inputs and modeling scenarios
- 7Automate recurring reports using Excel macros and Power BI refresh schedules
- 8Present portfolio health metrics to stakeholders, including variance and burn-rate trends
Requirements8
- 13-5 years as a PMO Analyst or in a similar portfolio reporting role
- 2Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- 3Power BI experience building interactive dashboards
- 4SQL proficiency for querying and validating data
- 5Strong grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis
- 6Experience in IT services or consulting firms is a plus
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication for presenting to senior stakeholders
- 8Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
