Platform Software Engineer - Ambrook
Overview
We seek a Platform Software Engineer to lead Ambrook's financial infrastructure transformation. You will own the core systems enabling our product and agent ecosystems. This role drives scalable solutions across PostgreSQL GCP environments and internal tooling. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous contexts and builds shared frameworks for internal and customer-facing product teams. Success is measured by improving developer velocity and expanding agent capabilities.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build a mental model of Ambrook's product and infrastructure within one month focusing on PostgreSQL GCP data systems and developer tooling
- 2Ship a mental model improvement to production enhancing code developer experience or internal tooling
- 3Own a platform project from discovery to production rollout improving developer velocity reliability or scalability
- 4Plan and execute a safe database or GCP change with validation observability and rollback practices
- 5Ship an internal agent infrastructure component such as an agent configuration interface or evaluation system
- 6Establish feedback loops with internal platform customers to refine infrastructure improvements
- 7Expand shared agent infrastructure supporting internal workflows and customer-facing agentic features
- 8Drive a platform roadmap informed by internal needs codebase-wide opportunities and Ambrook standards
- 9Deliver substantial improvements to Ambrook's database cloud data or developer infrastructure
- 10Raise standard for infrastructure changes through clear design migration planning and production ownership
- 11Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate platform solutions into business operations
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading platform initiatives at scale
- 3PostgreSQL expertise with GCP environment experience
- 4TypeScript proficiency with GCP scripting fundamentals
- 5Kubernetes familiarity for containerized workloads
- 6AWS Certified infrastructure certification preferred
- 7BCBA certification valued
- 8Ability to work across product infrastructure and internal tooling domains
- 9Strong understanding of data platform architecture and security best practices
- 10Experience with agentic systems and evaluation frameworks
- 11Proven track record of shipping production-ready infrastructure changes
Salary Insight
$115 - $280k per year
