Platform Engineer, Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Infrastructure
Overview
You own the design and delivery of hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem. Architect large-scale distributed systems with a focus on performance, resilience, and scalability. You work alongside a team of senior engineers to define the platform roadmap. This contract role in Dallas puts you at the center of mission-critical systems from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Architect hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and on-prem to meet performance and resilience targets.
- 2Scale distributed systems to handle growing workloads, focusing on scalability and fault tolerance.
- 3Optimize DML operations across Postgres, Oracle, and Cassandra for high throughput.
- 4Design event streaming pipelines with Kafka, including schema registry management and replication.
- 5Lead consumer group design to balance load and ensure reliable message processing.
- 6Implement caching strategies to reduce latency and improve system responsiveness.
- 7Drive infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation for repeatable deployments.
- 8Collaborate with engineering teams to align infrastructure with application requirements.
Requirements7
- 15+ years architecting large-scale distributed systems with a focus on performance, resilience, and scalability.
- 2Expert-level knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and on-prem.
- 3Deep expertise in DML operations across Postgres, Oracle, and Cassandra.
- 4Advanced proficiency with Kafka and event streaming architectures, including schema registry management and replication.
- 5Mastery of caching architectures (e.g., Redis, Memcached) for high-performance systems.
- 6Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
- 7Proven track record designing infrastructure for high availability and disaster recovery.
