Placement Specialist (Salary)
Overview
The Placement Specialist will provide individual and group career coaching to Liberal Arts students. This role focuses on helping students understand career opportunities and articulate the value of their education. Successful candidates will drive outcomes such as goal definition and plan development. The position offers a unique chance to shape student career paths while collaborating with recruiting teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Deliver comprehensive career coaching including goal definition and plan development
- 2Conduct resume and cover letter critiques
- 3Lead mock interviews and provide behavioral feedback
- 4Create workshop content and coordinate career events
- 5Maintain Canvas resource pages
- 6Represent Career Services at on-campus meetings
- 7Research and produce career materials for students and employers
- 8Support office events and assist with event logistics
- 9Enter and manage coaching notes in the database
- 10Collaborate with staff on professional development initiatives
- 11Prepare materials for multiple presentation formats
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree with three years of career services experience
- 2Proven ability to work with undergraduate students
- 3Strong project management and communication skills
- 4Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- 5Demonstrated interest in mentoring liberal arts students
- 6Experience with virtual and in-person presentations
- 7Master’s degree preferred with higher education background
- 8Knowledge of liberal arts curriculum skills
- 9Experience with Canvas Teams SharePoint Zoom platforms
