Overview
You'll own the Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) platform across Austin and Dallas, TX, managing Linux systems and RabbitMQ services for mid to senior-level operations. You'll work with a team of engineers and administrators, driving automation and infrastructure stability. What You'll Do9
- 1Administer and maintain Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) environments across Austin and Dallas, ensuring high availability and performance.
- 2Manage Linux systems and RabbitMQ (RMQ) services, handling configuration, upgrades, and daily operations.
- 3Troubleshoot PCF applications and infrastructure issues, collaborating with development teams to resolve root causes.
- 4Deploy and manage PCF components using BOSH and Terraform, automating provisioning and scaling.
- 5Integrate and maintain monitoring with Wavefront, Splunk, or Datadog to track platform health and alert on anomalies.
- 6Optimize PCF capacity and performance, analyzing metrics and logs to drive improvements.
- 7Implement and enforce security best practices for PCF and Linux systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- 8Write and maintain automation scripts in Python or Bash to streamline operational tasks.
- 9Provide on-call support for production incidents, participating in on-call rotation and root cause analysis.
Requirements9
- 15+ years of experience administering Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) in production environments.
- 23+ years of strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS).
- 32+ years managing RabbitMQ (RMQ) clusters, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- 4Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code.
- 5Hands-on experience with BOSH for deploying and managing PCF components.
- 6Familiarity with monitoring tools: Wavefront, Splunk, or Datadog.
- 7Experience troubleshooting PCF applications, including buildpacks and service bindings.
- 8Knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing.
- 9BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
