Pilates Instructor in Downtown LA
Overview
As an Equinox Pilates Instructor, you own your client journey from first assessment to long-term results, teaching private, duet, and semi-private sessions in a high-energy Downtown LA club. You build your own book of business under a dedicated Pilates manager, with access to top-of-the-line facilities and a supportive team. This role rewards career growth through internal continuing education, mentorship, and pathways to Pilates management. What You'll Do10
- 1Develop a safe, professional, comprehensive Pilates training program for each client, ensuring they reach goals and stay motivated.
- 2Conduct initial complimentary assessments and goal-setting to recommend a personalized Pilates program.
- 3Instruct private, duet, and semi-private sessions using all Pilates apparatus including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, and barrels.
- 4Work with your Pilates manager to build your client base through the club's member network and secure a full schedule.
- 5Complete all administrative tasks tied to client management, using Mindbody or similar scheduling tools.
- 6Collaborate with other club departments to deliver a seamless member experience.
- 7Deliver exceptional customer service to every member and guest, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.
- 8Maintain consistent client activity to drive results and achieve fitness goals.
- 9Participate in ongoing training and development to refine your teaching skills and stay current with Pilates trends.
- 10Keep studio and equipment spotless and safe, following cleaning protocols.
Requirements7
- 1Completion from a comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program, certified on all apparatus: mat, reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, and barrels.
- 2400+ hours of Pilates education through a recognized certification program.
- 3Valid Pilates certification from a recognized body, with proof provided.
- 4Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for helping clients achieve results.
- 5Physical stamina to stand, sit, walk, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, and safely spot clients during sessions.
- 6Legal right to work in the United States.
- 7Ability to work onsite in Downtown LA, including flexible hours on weekdays and weekends.
