Overview
You will own outpatient therapy for older adults in an assisted living community in Heathrow, FL, with a flexible PRN schedule. You will treat residents in one location, collaborating with the care team to improve mobility and independence. What You'll Do8
- 1Evaluate new residents' mobility, strength, and balance to create baseline assessments.
- 2Design individualized treatment plans targeting each resident's functional goals.
- 3Implement therapeutic exercises and manual therapy to improve gait, transfer, and balance.
- 4Collaborate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team on resident progress.
- 5Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR within 24 hours.
- 6Educate residents and caregivers on safe movement and fall prevention techniques.
- 7Adjust treatment plans based on resident response and physician input.
- 8Coordinate with the facility to schedule therapy sessions that fit resident routines.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- 2Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- 3New graduates and experienced therapists are encouraged to apply.
- 4Ability to treat residents in an outpatient assisted living setting.
- 5Proficiency with EMR documentation and care planning.
- 6Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
