Philanthropic Client Manager - Bank of America Boston
Overview
You will manage philanthropic investment and trust accounts, executing fiduciary duties with precision. Own end-to-end operations for high-net-worth nonprofit and private philanthropy clients, including account openings, money movement, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with financial advisor teams, the CGF Service team, and external vendors to deliver seamless experiences. With the Charitable Gift Fund handling $2B in contributions and growing 20% annually, this role puts you at the center of a fast-expanding business. You will report to the Operations Team Lead, with a focus on risk mitigation and client satisfaction, making a direct impact on charitable giving.
What You'll Do8
- 1Review and approve transactions, account openings, and money movements while ensuring compliance with donor-advised fund policies and IRS regulations.
- 2Support and oversee teammates handling account maintenance and client service requests, focusing on accuracy and timeliness.
- 3Develop in-depth knowledge of IRS and CGF-specific guidelines for donor-advised funds, staying current with regulatory changes.
- 4Identify and escalate potential risk items to the fiduciary manager, using sound judgment to protect client assets and compliance.
- 5Answer incoming calls and emails from internal financial advisor teams, resolving detailed questions about CGF processes and procedures.
- 6Follow up on issues to resolution, escalating when needed, and documenting all interactions for transparency.
- 7Handle a high volume of transactions under daily and weekly deadlines, maintaining productivity and accuracy.
- 8Support project-based work, including system enhancements and process improvements, as assigned.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 22+ years in financial services, preferably in philanthropic services or donor-advised funds.
- 3Experience in a Trust/Fiduciary setting, with expertise in executing fiduciary standards and operational processing.
- 4Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to analyze complex issues and legal documents.
- 5Proven ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of work accurately.
- 6Excellent communication skills via phone and email for high-net-worth client interactions.
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
- 8Ability to work in-office in Boston at least 3 days per week, with extended hours during year-end giving season.
