What You'll Do8

  • 1Supervise daily operations of the specialty pharmacy, ensuring compliance with Corewell Health regulations and accreditation standards.
  • 2Lead a team of technicians to manage medication dispensing, inventory, and special handling of specialty medications.
  • 3Coordinate with pharmacists to resolve prior authorization issues and provide patient follow-up education.
  • 4Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce errors and enhance patient care efficiency.
  • 5Train new technicians on MI Pharmacy Technician procedures and medication automation systems.
  • 6Manage scheduling and resource allocation to meet patient demand and service goals.
  • 7Monitor workflow for the mail-order facility and patient call center to ensure timely service.
  • 8Collaborate with clinical teams to support complex medication therapies and high-risk patients.

Requirements7

  • 1Associate's degree or equivalent required.
  • 22 years of relevant pharmacy experience in a senior, lead, or supervisory role required.
  • 32 years of relevant CPhT experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
  • 4MI Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) license required.
  • 5Experience in specialty pharmacy preferred.
  • 6Strong operational knowledge of medication dispensing and regulations.
  • 7Collaborative leadership style and commitment to patient care.
