Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Operations & Inventory Management
Overview
Pharmacy Technician at Optum will handle medication fulfillment, inventory management, and order packing to support pharmacist review at scale. You will work with a cross functional team in a patient focused setting and contribute to health outcomes through accurate dispensing and responsive service. This role emphasizes reliable stocking, data entry, and process adherence in a onsite Mesa/Phoenix environment. What You'll Do8
- 1Fill prescription orders for pharmacist verification
- 2Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients
- 3Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units
- 4Replenish workstation supplies for filling prescriptions
- 5Count and package medications and remove outdated products from shelves
- 6Reach out to patients for customer service calls and order inquiries
- 7Assist with inventory replenishment and par levels of pre packaged items
- 8Prepare orders for pharmacist final check and approval
Requirements8
- 1Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- 2Stand for up to 8 hours with breaks
- 3Must be 18 or older and eligible to work
- 4Previous contractor placement at UHG or affiliates
- 5Active and unrestricted State NHA PhT license (preferred)
- 6Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience (preferred)
- 7National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred)
- 8Experience navigating Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
