What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare sterile cancer medications following strict protocols and pass annual competency assessments
- 2Distribute medications and stock items with high accuracy while maintaining inventory integrity
- 3Manage pharmacy inventory through order processing and cycle counting
- 4Operate complex pharmacy computer systems including EPIC and Omnicell
- 5Follow controlled substance policies and manage backorders
- 6Communicate effectively with patients and coordinate care across departments
- 7Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and document all activities
- 8Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication issues
- 9Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of sterile compounding areas
- 10Calibrate equipment and verify order accuracy
- 11Track patient schedules to optimize supply ordering
Requirements9
- 1High school graduate or GED
- 22+ years pharmacy technician experience in similar settings
- 3Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with state board
- 4Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- 5Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPht-Adv) preferred
- 6Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) preferred
- 7On-site work in Kansas City Missouri
- 8Ability to work flexible hours with float responsibilities
- 9Strong communication and attention to detail skills
