What You'll Do7

  • 1Manage Controlled Drugs inventory, verifying counts and documenting dispensing per DEA regulations within the first 90 days.
  • 2Restock medication carts for long-term care floors, removing expired or discontinued Medications weekly.
  • 3Rotate stock in all medication areas, following FIFO to reduce waste and maintain quality.
  • 4Prepack bulk medications using the Parata system, labeling and verifying quantities for floor distribution.
  • 5Package and ship Medications to facilities, ensuring accurate labeling and secure transport.
  • 6Enforce pharmacy standards and safety policies, seeking supervisor guidance on non-standard situations.
  • 7Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to meet daily production goals, assisting where needed.

Requirements7

  • 1Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required (or ability to obtain before start).
  • 21+ years pharmacy experience in long-term care or retail setting.
  • 36+ months data entry experience with pharmacy systems like QS/1 or FrameworkLTC.
  • 4Demonstrated ability to handle Controlled Drugs with accuracy, including narcotic counting and records.
  • 5Proven organizational skills, prioritizing tasks in a multi-priority environment.
  • 6Detail-oriented with, able to spot labeling or count errors without external checks.
  • 7Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for 8+ hours.
