Pharmacy Technician, Data Entry - SpecialtyRX Austin
Overview
You will own the data entry workflow for a Long-Term Care pharmacy serving facilities across Austin. SpecialtyRX requires a Registered Pharmacy Technician to process new orders with speed and precision. You'll work onsite with a tight-knit team of pharmacists and technicians, handling order intake, label generation, and customer communications. This role sharpens your LTC systems expertise while giving you direct impact on patient care quality.
What You'll Do6
- 1Enter new orders into Frameworks LTC for staff pharmacist review, ensuring accuracy within 24 hours of receipt.
- 2Maintain up-to-date customer profiles, including medication lists and physician details, with zero data entry errors.
- 3Generate dispensing labels for each order, verifying against prescribed SIG-Codes and brand/generic substitutions.
- 4Answer incoming phone calls and respond to order inquiries, clarifying ambiguous orders with prescribers or facilities.
- 5Triage incoming faxes, prioritizing urgent medication requests and routing them to the pharmacist on duty.
- 6Flag drug interactions or allergy alerts in the system before pharmacist sign-off.
Requirements6
- 1Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
- 21+ years of pharmacy experience, including data entry and order processing.
- 3Knowledge of brand name and generic medications, with attention to SIG-Codes.
- 4Quick typing skills with at least 50 WPM and 95% accuracy.
- 5Computer literacy, with Frameworks LTC experience preferred.
- 6Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
