What You'll Do11
- 1Process prescriptions and independently review medication prescriptions to identify and resolve drug related problems
- 2Provide accurate drug information to health professionals patients and the public
- 3Assist in department management by supervising technicians students and support staff
- 4Oversee inventory maintenance purchases and ensure controlled substance compliance
- 5Maintain a clean and orderly work environment through daily operations
- 6Participate in performance improvement and regulatory compliance efforts
- 7Triaging and delegating nightly pharmacy activities during night shift
- 8Serving as primary interface for medication problem resolution between pharmacy nursing and other disciplines
- 9Demonstrating troubleshooting skills for IT computer and automation systems
- 10Obtaining licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in PA or NY within 120 days
- 11Conducting prospective drug reviews and implementing drug therapy interventions
Requirements5
- 1Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree licensed or eligible as a Registered Pharmacist in PA or NY
- 2Experience with drug therapy monitoring and intervention implementation
- 3Proven ability to lead pharmacy teams and train support staff
- 4Knowledge of HIPAA privacy policies and data security guidelines
- 5Commitment to maintaining a safe and courteous work environment
