Personal Support Coach - Part-Time Baltimore
Overview
The Personal Support Coach-DSP provides dignified support to ensure clients live, work, and thrive in their desired manner. This part-time role focuses on empowering individuals through person-centered philosophy and community engagement. Responsibilities include daily care coordination, advocacy, and collaboration across programs.
What You'll Do11
- 1Empower clients to engage meaningfully in community activities and achieve personal goals
- 2Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene meal planning and household responsibilities
- 3Transport clients to community events workplaces and appointments
- 4Maintain accurate documentation including Caretracker data and behavioral charts
- 5Administer medications promptly and report concerns to nursing staff
- 6Provide financial guidance on budgeting and banking practices
- 7Develop and execute personalized plans while adhering to behavioral protocols
- 8Report incidents abuse neglect and safety concerns immediately
- 9Train new team members on support strategies and compliance standards
- 10Track time accurately and facilitate department transfers as needed
- 11Collaborate with diverse teams and locations to expand service offerings
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years residential experience preferred
- 2CNA or GNA certification and CPR First Aid credentials
- 3Ability to lift 50-70 pounds using proper techniques
- 4Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to maintain insurance
- 5Strong communication skills for client advocacy and interagency coordination
- 6Experience with behavioral management and person-centered approaches
- 7Flexibility to accommodate varied client needs and schedules
